“Numbers don’t lie. Are you guys that fu–ing stupid?” said Dana White as he lashed out at the media during the DWCS 69. The UFC head honcho has been called out by the MMA community for his utter biases towards heavyweight champion Jon Jones. Fans believe that Dana White has been favoring Jon Jones, despite Jones having fought only once in the past four years while neglecting talents like Tom Aspinall.

Jon Jones has to be one of the greatest fighters to have ever stepped inside the Octagon. His records speak for himself, but in the modern era of the promotion, it might be a bit far-fetched to state that he is the best active fighter in the world considering the fact that he has only fought once in four years. The MMA community appreciates Jon Jones as the best, but they are fed up with the constant praise by Dana White for ‘Bones’ despite his inactivity. White praises Jones so much that the line, “Jon Jones is the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world.” has become his catchphrase.
Well, dealing with such trolls is not an effortless task in this era. Dana White, however, has taken a rather stoic approach to deal with them. The UFC CEO took to his Instagram handle to upload a video of a conversation between Mike Tyson and a podcaster on his story with a 4-word message to the former champ, white wrote “LMFAO!!! I’m with you @miketyson“. The video showcased the podcaster asking Mike Tyson how he feels about what the people think about him, to which Tyson said, “Nothing.”
The boxing great further added, “Nothing Off, F**k you. Nothing.” Well, this is not the first time that Dana White had to use his coping mechanism for the trolls. Fairly recently, ESPN acknowledged Dana White for his generosity as he secured 30 seats for the children to witness the UFC 305.
This noble act by the UFC CEO was supposed to have a positive light on him, but rather the opposite happened as Dana White was hilariously called out by the MMA fans for giving Tom Aspinall a chance to fight Jon Jones. What was hilarious was that the UFC CEO even tagged Jones in the Instagram post of that video. Regardless, has the UFC CEO stopped praising Jon Jones? Well, let’s find out.

White argues why Jon Jones is the best in the world
Dana White recently doubled down on his comments about Jon Jones. What comments, you might ask? It is the P4P king debate. The UFC CEO took to the mic to ascertain that there’s no one on the current UFC roster who is as capable as Jones. At the DWCS 69, the media asked the CEO about his opinion on the P4P debate, to which the UFC CEO said, “You can’t be that f–king stupid to think that Jon Jones is not the pound-for-pound best fighter in the world and the GOAT, but maybe you are?
He further added, “These kids that come in here undefeated—do you know how hard it is to stay undefeated? Jon Jones went through a murderous row. You talk about inactivity and that he’s only fought one time. Jon Jones was supposed to fight. He was scheduled to fight, but he got injured. He’s an active fighter.”

When asked about Islam Makhachev being the number 1 P4P fighter, White said, “Islam, many people believe, lost to the guy (Volkanovski) who’s a weight class below him. Is that how pound-for-pound works? He further doubled down by saying, “It’s f—ing silly and I don’t know what this game is with everybody, but Jon Jones is the pound-for-pound best fighter in the world.
