Dana White has several interests beyond the UFC, including professional bull riding. He owns a bull named ‘Twisted Steel’ that is now on a 35-4 run. The bull has recently become an intimidation factor after defeating an opponent through a slide. But the story has only just begun.
The UFC CEO had scheduled the former UFC contender, Donald Cerrone, to ride ‘Twisted Steel’ at a bull riding event. Surprisingly, Cerrone, being the Cowboy he is, extended a challenge to White, saying he would control the bull, not just ride him. White chimed in with a bet. He proposed that if Cerrone stayed on top of the bull for eight seconds, he would pay the former fighter $100,000, and $50,000 if he just rode ‘Twisted Steel’. But fate seemed to have other plans.

Cerrone recently got injured while practicing for the bull riding competition. He had his biceps torn off the bone at his ranch. The aftermath? ‘Cowboy’ had to get surgery done and enter rehabilitation mode to recover, thereby having to give up on the PBR challenge.
The UFC star took to Instagram to let the world know of the accident. “As yall know I was set to ride @danawhitestwistedsteel at the @pbr world finals may 18. I was just rushed into surgery with 100% bicep tear off the bone!!! Guess you mess with the bull you sometimes get the horns. This is not the end. I will rehab and get back after it,” he captioned.

Without a doubt, White rushed to Cerrone’s rescue. However, the fans weren’t in support of the sport. They bashed the UFC Hall of Famer for taking part in something so dangerous. They flooded the comments section of the IG post and expressed themselves.
Fans react as Dana White’s champion gets injured
Following Cerrone’s post, many fans from the fighting community came forward with condolences and wished for a healthy recovery. Yet, many others seemed to be disappointed with him. One fan wrote, “Arm looks fine to me! Get back out there cowboy.” People also pointed out that he still had his left hand, and should use that to stay on top of the bull. One of them wrote, “Dude, you have another arm and bicep”, while another fan commented, “Just hold on with the left one what’s the big deal?”

Another user blamed the sport for being stupid, saying, “Karma for a stupid sport.” The fans also had some advice for the 41-year-old. One comment read, “Tho i love you trying this adventure ha but 41 years old and bulls just doesn’t mix the best… s**t any age and bulls don’t.”
Lastly, one fan simply said, “Cowboy Cerrone doing Cowboy Cerrone things.” Nevertheless, the spirits were high, and people seemed to care for the former welterweight, commenting on their own injuries and how quickly they recovered. But one thing is certain. ‘Cowboy’ won’t be riding ‘Twisted Steel’ on 18th May.
