Dana White praises Trump—Is this the kind of leadership America needs?

U.S. presidential candidates Donald Trump and Kamala Harris just went on their first (and so far only) face-to-face debate before the presidential election in November. The big debate took place in Philadelphia, one of the major states that could play a key role in determining the results of the election. The face-to-face lasted for 90 minutes, and it surely offered U.S. voters their most detailed look at a presidential race that has changed dramatically since President Joe Biden dropped his campaign in June.

But do you know that Dana White might’ve played a key role in Trump’s debate tonight? Well, that’s what he revealed in the post-fight press conference of the Dana White Contender Series. It was there that White revealed that while he had not watched his friend Donald Trump’s debate, during a phone call, he revealed that Trump was taking the debate as if it were a heavyweight bout.

He said, “First of all, it’s the second time he has to debate, right? He already did a debate; they didn’t like how the debate turned out. So, they want to kick that guy out; he isn’t fit to run. Yet he is the President of the United States. Now they bring in somebody who wasn’t elected to actually be in there. And they would only do it on ABC; it was three to one tonight. So I don’t know how it went or what happened, but I know he took it seriously. He saw a look at this like a heavyweight fight. ‘I’m not taking anybody lightly’ and I don’t know.”

It is worth remembering that the June presidential debate between Donald Trump and Joe Biden turned out to be a one-sided affair. So much so that Biden was asked to drop out of the presidential race altogether. And since it was the only scheduled debate between the two candidates, it was a watershed moment for both campaigns. In Harris’ case, the face-to-face with Trump gave her the possibility to show who she is to the many Americans who are still unaware of many of her policies and opinions.

On the other hand, Donald Trump’s Republican campaign suffered a major blow after Joe Biden’s departure from the race. Although there is still no clear leader in the polls, the latest poll by ‘NPR’, ‘PBS News’ and Marist National Poll showed Harris as the leader with 49% of the vote, while Trump would obtain 48%. So taking advantage of the opportunity, Trump surely was at his best, maybe all thanks to the phone call he had with his friend Dana White before the debate. But what do you think of tonight’s debate? Let us know in the comments.
