Dana White and Donald Trump‘s friendship is still going strong. The latest indication of this is that the UFC CEO has been chosen by the former President to give the introductory speech at the upcoming Republican National Convention in Milwaukee on July 18. Trump, of course, is set to be elected as the GOP’s official candidate for the 2024 Presidential election on the 15-18 July event.
The Las Vegas resident, of course, is no stranger to this and had given his full-throated endorsement of Trump at both the 2016 convention and the 2020 Convention, where the New York native was elected as the party’s Presidential candidate. This is not surprising, considering that Dana White had pledged to support Donald Trump in return for the backing Trump gave him and the UFC in its early years.

Both men have been friends for nearly two decades, with the UFC CEO being eternally grateful to Trump for letting him put on shows at Trump properties, in the early 2000s, a time when the promotion was virtually struggling for survival. And their relationship has been going strong ever since, as is apparent from Trump choosing the Las Vegas resident to do the honors at the RNC yet again.
And while their relationship is as strong as ever, Dana White is not amenable to every idea put forth by Donald Trump, as the UFC CEO confirmed that he wouldn’t be taking the outrageous advice that the former real estate mogul recently gave him.

Dana White not interested in Donald Trump’s ‘Migrant Fighting League’ idea
Donald Trump is in the throes of a heated Presidential election campaign. His consecration at the RNC will, of course, simply be a formality since the matter has been closed since the former President cleaned up in the Republican Presidential Primaries. One of the central and most talked about issues in the Trump campaign has been illegal immigration.
While discussing the issue at a recent event last month, Trump claimed that he had discussed a possible ‘migrant league of fighters’ with Dana White. The purpose of this ‘Migrant Fighting League’ would be to have migrants fight each other in MMA, with the champion there taking on UFC champions.

While this may seem like a ludicrous idea at first glance, the former President was using it to prove how tough the migrants were as he claimed that the migrant champions would beat their UFC counterparts.
Dana White, of course, was quickly asked to remark on Donald Trump’s assertion by the press. To this, the UFC boss stated that it was simply a joke, which had been blown out of proportion. And of course, he went on to add that no such plans for a ‘Migrant Fighter League’ were in the works, despite the love and respect he has for Donald Trump.
