The duo truly got along well, as Rogan led the discussions with Trump on topics ranging from comedy to politics. The episode received so much attention from the online crowd that it surpassed 20 million views in just 20 hours. Now the episode has recorded over 44 million views after just nine days of the upload date.

This surely provides a boost to the ex-POTUS’ election campaign while introducing some new fans to the number-one podcast in the world. But do you know that UFC CEO Dana White had a major role to play in bringing Trump onto the podcast? Well, that is what the UFC head honcho revealed during an interview with Russell Brand.

Every UFC fan is aware of the special friendship between Dana White and Donald Trump. The history between the two goes back 25 years. If it weren’t for Trump lending his hotels as UFC venues, the biggest combat sports promotion in the world might’ve ceased to exist. Since then, White has been very vocal with his support for the Republican candidate. In a bid to boost his presidential chances, Dana White revealed that he pushed Trump for an interview with Rogan because he wanted people to like him. And going on the unscripted podcast is the perfect place, according to White.

Dana White said in the interview, “He is authentic enough to go on Joe Rogan’s show for three and a half hours, unscripted, and talk about anything that popped up to talk to Joe or anybody else. And I pushed hard for him to do that interview because that’s the setting that he needs to be in every time he does an interview. With the mainstream media, it’s all the same bulls–t, and I knew that he and Rogan would sit down. More importantly, I knew he and Rogan would like each other. I needed to get those two together because I knew they would end up liking each other once they sat in a room together.”

Well, it sure looks like the idea worked as the the numbers don’t lie. But what about the Democratic candidate, Kamala Harris? Wasn’t the Vice President of the United States supposed to join the UFC commentator for an episode as well? Well, Dana White and Joe Rogan provided the answer to that burning question.

The reason behind Kamala Harris skipping the Joe Rogan Experience

Joe Rogan’s dislike for ex-POTUS Donald Trump has been public information for a long time now. So when it was being speculated that either of the two candidates could appear on his podcast, many expected it to be the Democrat representative, Kamala Harris. However, things turned upside down when Donald Trump let his presence known before Harris could. But why didn’t the vice president appear on the podcast?

Well according to Rogan, the episode won’t suffice as he refused to accept the conditions set by the Harris campaign. He wrote on X, “Also, for the record, the Harris campaign has not passed on doing the podcast. They offered a date for Tuesday, but I would have had to travel to her, and they only wanted to do an hour. I strongly feel the best way to do it is in the studio in Austin.” This surely disappointed many, since fans wanted her to have an unscripted, long interview just like the one Trump had with the JRE host.

However, according to White, Kamala Harris would’ve skipped the appearance even if Rogan had accepted the conditions. During an interview with Russell Brand, the UFC head honcho claimed that Harris “cannot speak without a teleprompter”.
