UFC 300 ended up delivering on all the hype and promises that the UFC CEO, Dana White promised fight fans leading up to the historic UFC 300 PPV event. However, the Head Honcho and the promotion seem to be looking to carry on the hype going forward with their future PPV events.

During the post-fight press conference of UFC 300, the 54-year-old dropped massive news for the upcoming fights for future events. However one of the fights that were announced was of the return of the most iconic and biggest UFC star, Conor McGregor. However, there are a few who seem to have a problem with how  Dana White announced the fight.

During the Post-fight press conference, White was handed a note for announcing matchups for future fights. He stated, “June 1, Newark New Jersey pay-per-view, Main Event Islaam versus Poirier. Co-Main Event, five rounds. Strickland versus Costa. June 29, Connor vs Chandler, five rounds 170 pounds.”

However, there were quite a lot of people who didn’t seem to believe that the way How Dana White and co. announced their fight felt like a miss for most fans. Even sports journalist, Ariel Helwani seemed annoyed with the way Dana White announced the fights.

Helwani took to twitter posting a clip of the Dana White announcing the fight while writing the caption, “Gotta say, this is an incredible way to announce the return of the biggest star in the history of the sport. Put that crumpled paper in the HOF!”

 

And it wasn’t just the MMA journalist who had felt the announcement could’ve been done a little better. Here are some of the fan reactions to the clip that Helwani posted.

Fans react negatively to Dana White’s fight announcements

One fan pointed out his take on what Dana White and the UFC were trying to accomplish with the move;

 

Another explained how the promotion missed a massive chance by not having a proper promotional video for the Irishman’s return;

 

Some more agreed with the argument that the fight announcement should’ve been a proper Promo;

 

 

A fan made a sarcastic remark saying that the MVP promo wasn’t so bad in comparison;

 

Another took a jab at Helwani for his critique;
