Dana White is not serious – or is he? Ever since Jon Jones’ spectacular Heavyweight comeback to the UFC with a win over Ciryl Gane at UFC 285, ‘Bones’ has never stayed away from headlines. Even in the UFC 285 post-fight press conference, Jones shocked fans with a subtle hint at retirement.
But Dana White’s recent remarks seem to suggest otherwise. Looks like the UFC President wants Jones to star in another epic heavyweight clash – with #5 UFC Heavyweight Tom Aspinall. In a recent interview, the 53-year-old caught the public eye after he made some statements about the two Heavyweights. What’s more – in a cryptic remark that has left fans buzzing, White voiced some interesting ideas about a potential “England versus Jones” showdown featuring the Brit and ‘Bones.’

In an exclusive interview with TNT Sports, Dana White gave his two cents on the current developments in the MMA universe. But that’s not all! The UFC President also spoke to journalist Adam Catterall about the idea of a clash between the #1 and the #5 Heavyweight contenders.
Acknowledging the significance of a victory for Aspinall, White voiced the possibility of an England versus Jones clash, “Imagine if we could end up with an England[referring to Aspinall] versus Jon Jones fight.”
Moreover, he emphasized the current excitement and energy surrounding the UFC’s heavyweight division. White attributes all of it to the presence of electrifying knockout power, diverse skill sets, and the undeniable greatness of Jon Jones.
White also expressed his delight at bringing the UFC back to England, adding, “If you’ve never seen a fight in England, you need to experience that energy and the fans – it’s special – it’s awesome.”
Aspinall is making a comeback this Saturday against Marcin Tybura. The UFC London event is set to be hosted at The O2. And Dana White thinks that if the Brit beats the Polish heavyweight, he may be inclined to give Aspinall a title shot bout against Jon Jones. On the other hand, all eyes are on Jones as he gears up to clash with Miocic on November 11, at New York’s Madison Square Garden.
