Dana White’s recent remarks on sponsorships have stirred up considerable controversy worldwide. With the upcoming presidential elections in a few years, the news has captured the attention of many. Interestingly, Patrick Bet-David seems to share Dana White’s views.
Bet-David, in his recent podcast, praised Dana White as well as Snoop Dog and argued that they are empowering content creators. “Here’s what happens; this is why he said if Snoop quits smoking weed, he’s the big deal. When you think about smoking weed, who’s the god of smoking weed? Living, obviously. So, if he quits, he can influence hundreds of thousands of people to consider quitting smoking,” said Bet-David.
He further emphasized, “Okay, if Dana calls out brands like that, guess what brands are doing? They’re shi*ing. And by the way, the fact that he (Theo Von) doesn’t reveal the name of the other company he’s talking about, I guarantee you there’s an element of it where he is hanging on to it for future purposes. In case, if he does (and I wouldn’t be surprised if in the next couple of months, he actually tells people who it is), the other brand. But the point here is this: this is empowering content creators to not allow sponsors to bully you, period.”
During his conversation with Theo Von, Dana White revealed that sponsors attempted to exert influence over his decisions. In response, Von recounted an incident where one of his sponsors attempted to intimidate him.

White said, “I posted a video for Trump. One of our big sponsors called and told me to take that down. You know what I said? Go f**k yourself.”
Von responded by sharing that he had encountered a similar situation. He explained that a few companies had contacted him to take down an episode simply because it did not align with their political agenda. Von specifically mentioned Peloton as one of these companies.
