Tom Aspinall is rumored to be fighting in the Manchester event. The interim heavyweight champions’ first appearance after UFC 295 victory is going to be UFC 304. ‘Honey Badger’ has been waiting for a long time for his next big bout and finally, it seems like he’s going to get his opportunity. UFC304 might see Aspinall getting his potential opponent as Ciryl Gane.

All this was the topic of conversation between Jonny Roses and Robert Whittaker in their latest YouTube video. Whittaker also feels that Dana White made a genius move by keeping Aspinall under promotion.

The next appointment for Aspinall is yet to be announced but the fans are already excited to see the hard-hitting champion get back into the octagonWhen it came to promotions, Roses said on the MMArcade Podcast, “There’s the conversation in the UFC you got to keep fighting right. If you stay on the sidelines for too long things are going to pass you by. Is this not one of those things for Tom Aspinall?”

Robert Whittaker replied in that context by saying, “Anyhow if the UFC is allowing him to defend the interim belt understandably It’s not the belt but he will still be paid pay-per-view money, he will still be paid Championship money. It’s a way to keep him going.”

Both of them are also excited to see Aspinall fight opposite Ciryl Gane or Curtis Blaydes. Gane might be a risk according to Chael Sonnen after his performance in UFC 299, yet White is taking a chance on Aspinall and giving him the opening fight. Roses was also excited for the Blaydes vs Aspinall fight if it ever happened.

Many people want it to be Jon Jones, but the main names going around for this fight are Alex Pereira and Curtis Blaydes. Pereira and Aspinall already have a history so it might be them inside the Octagon as well.
