Jon Jones is all set to make a blockbuster return to the UFC and goes in straight for the big prize. Arguably his toughest challenge in recent times, Jones will have to defeat a certain Ciryl Gane if he wants to continue his legacy in the heavyweight division. Moreover, the former UFC light heavyweight champion is well in his preparation with weight gain for a heavyweight physique.

Furthermore, it is one of the most important fights for ‘Bones’ according to UFC president Dana White. The UFC president had a lot to say about the dream heavyweight champion fight. He even stated that Gane is the favorite to win the fight in UFC 285.

Dana White reveals Ciryl Gane is the favorite against Jon Jones

The UFC President was recently seen in Vegas Sports Talk Uncensored Podcast wherein he was promoting UFC events and Power Slap League. He came across a question about Jon Jones and Ciryl Gane at UFC 285. White gave his opinion on what he thinks about the matchup.

The 53-year-old said, “Ciryl Gane is actually a better fight than Francis [Francis Ngannou] was u know? Ciryl is actually the favorite in this fight now. Francis was the underdog in fight going in with Jon Jones. So for Jon this is a much better legacy for him if he can go in and beat Ciryl Gane…”

According to White, Gane might be a tougher opponent for ‘Bones’ going into the fight. He also explained why he thought so. While speaking about ‘Bon Gaming’ he said, “ who [Ciryl Gane] is a true heavyweight but moves like he is a middleweight. Stand-up is better.”

What did White say about Jones’ legacy?

The UFC President spoke about the UFC legend in the podcast. White also gave his opinion on the 1 loss that Jon Jones has. He said, “So people whether you don’t like him or whatever your deal is but u cannot deny that Jon Jones is the best of all time. He’s never actually lost a fight, the only guy that ever beat him was Mazzagati.”

Describing the fight, the 53-year-old mentioned, “In that bad call in that fight. He dominated that fight, He should have won that fight he showed have an O [Zero] in the lost column in his record…”

Furthermore, he stated that if Jones was to win against Gane, people would have to agree that ‘Bones’ is the greatest of all time. However, White also kept in mind Jones’ behavior outside the octagon.
