UFC CEO Dana White has seen some gruesome injuries take place inside the Octagon. MMA is certainly not a kind sport, and it must be a relief that none of his sons or his daughter are training in MMA. However, the 54-year-old promoter has shown some concerns for his eldest son, Dana White III, for his venture into football, which White believes is a much more dangerous sport.
Dana White has three children with his wife. Being a promoter of sporting events himself, his children are also into sports. White recently appeared on the ‘Pound 4 Pound with Henry and Kamaru‘ show hosted by former UFC champions Kamaru Usman and Henry Cejudo, where expressed his worries about his eldest son and his footballing career.

Dana White took over the mantle of the UFC boss more than twenty years ago. Being the head of the world’s premier MMA organization, many people have asked him what would happen if his son decides to get inside the Octagon. Despite having witnessed the risks involved in an MMA, the UFC CEO stated that he would support his son no matter what he wants to do in life. He said, “People who are anti-combat sports and sh*t like that, back in the day, would always ask me, ‘What if your kids wanna fight?’ I would f***ing 100 percent support it.”
However, White doesn’t think the dangers in MMA hold a candle to the dangers in the sport that his son plays. He claims that his son, Dana White III, is in a much more dangerous sport, football, which involves a lot of heavy body contact. “My older son, Dana, has played football all the way up to college. This is his senior year, he’s graduating. This was his last year of football… there’s nothing more dangerous than football, man,” said the UFC CEO. Nevertheless, White still believes that risks exist everywhere, no matter what one chooses to do in life. However, let us take a look at what type of dangers the UFC CEO was talking about when it comes to American football.

Just last December at UFC 296, featherweight star Bryce Mitchell had convulsions while lying unconscious on the canvas after a devastating knockout loss. The situation looked bad and White had to rush to the Octagon, with Joe Rogan calling for proper medical care. Having seen this all, White is concerned for his son’s well-being. But that will not stop him from supporting his passions, as he made very clear during the interview.
