Did Alex Pereira just outshine Conor McGregor by saving UFC 303? What do you think?

Dana White is pretty occupied with UFC 306, which will be a massive event in the promotion’s history. It almost seems like he’s preparing for the wedding of a close family member the way he is fretting about everything. In his defense, the UFC is his ‘baby’. Apart from spending $20 million on production costs and developing some of the most amazing fight cards, he also attends interviews to hype the event.

The UFC CEO joined the New York Post Sports anchor Dexter Henry to discuss this tremendous ordeal that will happen on Saturday. Now don’t be surprised when you get to know that he not only spoke about this event but also Conor McGregor!

The host asked him what was the most exciting thing about the sports right now. The UFC boss appeared extremely pleased when he mentioned that the athletes now had a changed mindset. He pointed out how the fighters were enthusiastic and ready to get into the cage without any excuses, even sacrificing other matters for the cage.

He took Alex Pereira’s name and said, “We have this mentality now that they all want to fight. Anybody anywhere, anytime, and a lot of that starts with these new camps that are out. Israel Adesanya. If you look at how he burst onto the scene and was willing to fight back-to-back. Alex Pereira, when Conor McGregor fell out, was on vacation in Australia, left his vacation in the middle of vacation, and came and fought in the main event.”

The champ sacrificed his vacation to fight at UFC 303!

UFC 303 was the time that Dana White witnessed Alex Pereira’s dedication and power. As you already know, Michael Chandler and Conor McGregor were supposed to fight. However, the latter injured his toe and had to withdraw days before the event. Then the main event featured Alex Pereira against Jiri Prochazka and the Brazilian middleweight won.

During the UFC 303 press conference, the boss declared that Conor Mcgregor might not be the face of MMA anymore. TV broadcaster and MMA journalist Jason Hagholm shared on X that Dana White pointed out Pereira’s excellent performance in ticket sales. And even now, White complimented Pereira ahead of UFC 306.

However, even though he might complement Pereira’s work ethic, it seems like the middle weight champions’ dreams of fighting Jon Jones have to wait.

After conquering the middleweight as well as light heavyweight divisions, ‘Poatan’ is now eyeing the heavyweight division. The Brazilian champion is a mega sensation in the promotion and has been unstoppable in his endeavor. He also declared that unless it was ‘Bones’ he was not interested in any other fighter.

Unfortunately, he might have to wait for a long time because Dana White has other plans. The Brazilian is going to fight Kha͏l͏il Rountree at͏ UFC 307 and if he wins, then he is going to face Magomed ͏Ank͏alaev. After that, if events go well, then he can transfer to the heavyweight category.

However, this dream might be halted by the boss because during The Pat McAfee Show,White answered with a singleNo.’

During the DWCS press conference, a reporter once again inquired about the same matter, but the UFC boss mentioned that their age could pose a challenge.

He said, All these guys are battling time. They are all battling time. Umm, we are just going to have to see, you know, what happens in the next couple of months.It is a fact that Alex Pereira is 37 years old, just like Jon Jones. On top of that, his schedule is pretty booked for the coming months.
