Brendan Schaub criticizes Dana White regarding media coverage
Former UFC fighter Brendan Schaub revealed in his podcast what he thinks is wrong with the UFC. He spoke about the issue of less media coverage for important fights by the UFC.
Schaub stated that Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler‘s TUF news is getting more coverage than UFC 284. Moreover, he was massively disappointed by seeing the media coverage of Dana White‘s Power Slap League.

The former UFC fighter added, “This is what’s wrong about the sport. There’s more coverage of the slap fight league of morons. Giving each other CTE every single time they slap each other. Idiots! And they have these guts and they’re in Under Armor.”
Schaub was aggravated at the fact that the Power Slap League got more attention than the championship fight. Throughout the podcast, ‘Big Brown’ also reiterated the fact that the fight between Volkanovski and Makhachev is a “goddamn gift“.

Schaub said, “There hasn’t been a fight in I don’t know how long...” Furthermore, while describing Volkanovski and Makhachev he added, “Two gentlemen, one at 45 who is a champ, one at 55 who is a champ who is a pound for pound number 1 and pound for pound number 2… They have two losses between the two of them and they’re dominant fighters…. As far as skill set goes, talent, and they’re both in their prime.”
Furthermore, the former UFC fighter added, “This is unheard of. It is a goddamn gift and nobody’s paying attention to it. It’s insane to me.”
