UFC president Dana White finally caved into a trend that exploded in popularity in recent years. The cold plunge has popped up as a remedial technique where athletes immerse themselves in icy water for a duration of around 5-15 minutes. The advocates of cold plunge argue it can expedite recovery, boost energy levels, and even improve mental health. Therefore, it didn’t come as a shock when the UFC lynchpin tried one of the hottest trends on the internet.

However, he is not the first under the UFC banner to fall for the trend. Previously, UFC commentator Joe Rogan, who is a vocal supporter of icy baths and sauna sessions, beat White to it.

Dana White follows in Joe Rogan’s footsteps

The 53-year-old recently visited the Remedy Place in New York to fulfill his quest for a cold plunge. Sharing the clip of the same on his Instagram handle, Dana White also mentioned this was not the first time he had dived into a tub of chilly water.

He said, “We did 37 degrees yesterday for six minutes and we were freezing all day. Here we go. Set the timer.”

Earlier, in July 2022, Joe Rogan had relied on a cold plunge to loosen up his body. He also admitted the plunge at 34 degrees did wonders and eased his inflammation and body soreness.

Rogan can be heard saying in the Instagram post, “The benefits for resilience, the benefits for my mind and for inflammation for my body. My body feels soo good. All my soreness, that was generally just an ordinary part of everyday life, a massive amount of that has been dissipated.”

The cold plunge might be another method for Dana White to keep his recent fitness transformation on track, who was recently given a brief span of 10 more years to live.

Fans quickly took to the internet to voice their reactions to the UFC president’s actions.
