Unapologetic and brazen as he is, UFC President Dana White has been criticized for making certain decisions in the past. Fighters have come out and claimed that Dana White pays his fighters poorly. He has been criticized in the past for making decisions based on money-making possibilities. Recently, a tweet by Dana White, defending himself against ‘gimmick fight’ claims went viral. The fans wasted no time in giving the UFC President a piece of their minds.
“Dana literally described why it is a gimmick fight.” said one fan, confused by White’s defense. Another fan commented saying, “All i hear from Dana Is Mr. Krabs greedy *ss.“. One fan kept it immensely sarcastic while voicing his displeasure as he commented, “People keep calling Dana out for going back on his word but he’s done it so many times he doesn’t give a shit“. Calling out Dana White’s ‘hypocrisy’, one person on Reddit commented, “So basically it’s not a gimmick fight as long as he makes a lot of money? Checks out“.

The internet seemed to be grossly unhappy with Dana White’s ‘misleading stunt’ and did not hold back in lambasting him across Reddit.

Recently, as people took to Twitter and Reddit to harshly criticize White’s stance on the Elon Musk vs. Mark Zuckerberg fight being called a ‘gimmick fight’, the UFC President sent out a Tweet to defend himself. Dana White has also been condemned for hyping up the fight without any real confirmation in sight.
“This isn’t a gimmick fight. Gimmick is MMA guys going to boxing and getting beat. We have seen it already and how it ends. This is a fight between 2 of the most powerful /richest guys in the world. Who will win? Who has seen this before? NOBODY. It’s also a crossover fight that literally EVERY EVERYONE will watch.” tweeted the UFC President in hopes of saving face.

The UFC President has made a lot of money, putting up blockbuster fight cards in the past. White is now worth $500 million but he still seems to be fighting to win the approval of fans when it comes to certain decisions.
