The world of mixed martial arts went into shock with the postponement of the UFC 303 press conference. It was supposed to be held on the 3rd of June, at 3Arena, Ireland. Without a doubt, the fans were pretty heartbroken with the news, given the excitement that they had with Conor McGregor making a return to the UFC after three years to fight against Michael Chandler. But the heat has now diminished the value set for the next UFC Fight Night.

The UFC sent out a note of apology on social media, addressing all the fans that the press conference scheduled for McGregor vs. Chandler, was postponed until further notice. Soon after that, Dana White and Co. came under severe public scrutiny with the fans’ disappointment. Speculations began to swirl around on the internet, with guesses about why the press conference was postponed. Rumors about the postponement being the result of the Irishman’s partying habits and injuries took over the social media platforms. Undeniably, the MMA world had to respond. The UFC veterans tried to clear out the air, confirming that the fight was still on.

The fans’ disappointment led them to ask only about the updates on UFC 303 when the UFC CEO put forth a video of him announcing the events of the upcoming UFC Fight Night. On Instagram, White revealed details of the fight between Jared Cannonier versus Nassourdine Imavov, set to be held at KFC Yum! Center, Louisville, Kentucky. He provided the details of the fights and the fighters with his usual energy. However, the fans were interested in another matchup.
