Wherever Conor McGregor treads, controversy strides eagerly by his side. A few months ago, Dana White made a thrilling announcement about the Irishman’s return. White announced that McGregor would be coaching the next season of The Ultimate Fighter season 31. However, as the filming of TUF commenced, unexpected controversy arose, leaving fans and fighters intrigued.

Also, White made it clear that UFC will not the fighters who lost their spot at TUF. One of the fighters affected by this decision, Mitch Ramirez recently addressed this in an interview.

Ramirez is an undefeated 30-year-old MMA fighter with an impressive record of 7 wins and 0 losses. In the interview, Ramirez highlighted a moment when he watched a reporter question Dana White about the ordeal. Understanding that White might not have been fully informed about the matter, Ramirez empathized with the UFC president’s position.

“I saw an interview that Dana did where a reporter asked him like what about this, ‘what the heck, how did how did this happen to these guys’? Dana didn’t really know what was going on. Which, I can understand that he’s at a point where he probably doesn’t hear all the little details.”

At the same time, White‘s response provided a glimmer of hope for the displaced fighters. Ramirez expressed his gratitude and uplifted spirits upon hearing White‘s reassurance that the affected fighters would still have opportunities in the future.

“(Ramirez quoting Dana White) This is a stupid question because we obviously are interested in them and they’re gonna get there. They got something come and they have an opportunity coming and that just lifted my spirits. I was like oh man like if Dana’s saying that I’m not going to be forgotten, I’m going to get healthy and I’m gonna be ready”.
