Jake Paul has recently signed a deal with Showtime. The YouTuber turned pro-boxer is determined to make a name for himself in the boxing world. UFC lightweight, Dan Hooker gave his verdict on what he thinks about ‘The Problem Child’.
“I don’t know if it legitimizes them. I think they just see the value and like this, there’s real value in that. There’s people who are paying to watch that guy fly like absolutely no knock on it,” said Hooker.

“That’s it’s not like they’re making money is taking money off my table like that doesn’t that doesn’t change. The other thing is just kind of letting everyone understand the landscape of the business of boxing.
“Like it’s, it’s the more eyes you can bring to the table, the more valuable you become. That’s that’s the kind of commodity we’re dealing in is that it’s the mixture of entities, you know, fighting for entertainment and being able to being able to draw a crowd,” Hooker added.

Paul certainly garners some attention with his antics, be it wanted or unwanted. But it allows him to attract eyeballs to his fights. So, his methods might be off the charts a bit, but they do seem to work, at least for the time being.

What’s next for Dan Hooker in the UFC?
‘The Hangman‘ is actively looking for his next fight in the UFC. He has been on the sidelines since his first-round knockout loss to Michael Chandler at UFC 257.
Hooker teased a potential fight against the former interim champion, Tony Ferguson recently. However, he wants ‘El Cucuy’ to be totally healthy before challenging him for a fight.
