The world of mixed martial arts received a massive blow with the unfortunate demise of the former UFC star, Felipe Corales. The mixed martial artist was rammed by a bus while he was on his way back from a training session. Even though the fire department quickly reached the scene and attended to the fighter’s injuries, his condition was apparently beyond saving. The 29-year-old bid farewell to the world as he was being rushed to Hospital Rocha Faria, in Campo Grande. 

The unfortunate news deeply saddened the entire universe of combat sports. The former UFC heavyweight champion, Ciryl Gane, and the former UFC lightweight champion, Charles Oliveira, expressed their grief on social media. Without a doubt, the heartbreaking news has greatly dampened the spirits of the combat sports world.

As the disheartening news traveled through the world, everyone began grieving for Corales. Gane reshared an Instagram post on his IG story, where he offered his condolences to the Brazilian warrior. The post showed Corales controlling a thug with a rear-naked choke, as well as another picture where he submitted Alioune Nahaye with a rear-naked choke, at Ares FC 12. Gane added ‘peace’, ‘red heart’ and ‘crying face’ emojis in the story.

‘Do Bronx’ also stepped forward and grieved the loss of a fellow Brazilian mixed martial artist. He took to Twitter and replied to Ares FC’s tweet that read, “The ARES family sends its most sincere condolences to the family and friends of Felipe Colares.” The post showed a picture of ‘Cabocao’ wearing Ares FC gloves.

‘Do Bronx’ wrote, “Rest in Peace”, followed by, “Descanse em paz.”

Undoubtedly, the untimely demise of the warrior jerked out tears from every single fan in the world of MMA.

‘Cabocao’ was undefeated in MMA before he joined the UFC. Corales began his journey in the UFC back in 2019, with six fights in the contract. He fought against Geraldo de Freitas Jr., Domingo Pilarte, Montel Jackson, Luke Sanders, Chris Gutierrez, and Chase Hooper

After that, he joined Ares FC and secured a win against Nahaye with a submission in the first round. Sadly, that was the last time he graced the MMA cage with his presence.
