‘Curious’ Joe Rogan Tagged as a Rare Individual as UFC Champion Sean Strickland and Theo Von Go Candid About the Multi-Millionaire Podcaster- “I Have Thought a Lot”

Joe Rogan is one of those guys who’ll sit down with you and have conversations about literally everything. And some of his guests recognize this ability of his thoroughly. In fact, it is this spontaneity and general curiosity of Rogan that have brought him to the stage where he is today.

Some of the guests Rogan has had on his podcast before are Sean Strickland and Theo Von. While one is the reigning middleweight champion of the UFC, the other is a highly accomplished podcaster and comedian himself. The two sat down with one another recently, and Rogan had to be brought up.

Theo Von is a rather sensational podcaster. He started out as a comic and would often make Joe Rogan laugh so much that his lungs would ache. Meanwhile, Strickland is himself one of the most ‘out-there’ fighters the UFC currently boasts.

Both are equally well-known for speaking their minds. Albeit in different styles, While Von is known for his sensitive nature, Strickland is outspoken and outright brazen when need be. And these qualities of both of them were on full display on Von’s podcast, This Past Week with Theo Von, as the host spoke about Rogan.

“Rogan is so smart. He is so smart and he’s so curious,” Von said as Strickland urged him not to sing too much praise. “I respect who he is, I’ve thought a lot about this… I think he’s a rare individual. I think he’s extremely rare.”

Perhaps Von is correct in his assessment too. After all, all the praise comes from a place of understanding. Joe Rogan is always bringing up interesting questions and sparking thrilling conversations. However, it was Theo Von that brought a tear to Strickland’s eyes instead.

Strickland has always been outspoken about his abusive past with his parents. On this occasion, in the latest edition of Von’s podcast, it would seem that the tough demeanor of the middleweight champion cracked a little bit. And that’s completely alright; everyone feels a certain way. Fans were only glad to see Strickland go through the motions in the presence of Von, who helped ease the moment.

Strickland spoke about how he’d fall asleep at school and get verbally thrashed by his teachers. But they didn’t know that he was up until “3 A.M.” because of the ongoing issues in his family. As he finished telling the story, Strickland broke down. He tried to carry forward, but the silence filled with Strickland’s momentary sobs was just too loud. A rare moment of pain for a champion who has evidently come a long way.
