After months of exhausting wait, it finally seems like fans have a colossal update about Francis Ngannou vs Tyson Fury. For months now, there were speculations about a bout between the undefeated heavyweight Tyson Fury and Francis Ngannou.

Earlier this year, Ngannou parted ways with the UFC after major contractual issues. Moreover, one of the reason why the former heavyweight champ left the organisation was the inability to explore boxing opportunities.

Even after Conor McGregor earning around $100 million from his boxing fight against Floyd Mayweather, the UFC boss Dana White did not entertain the idea of Ngannou vs Fury. Nonetheless, the fight seems fixed now.

Date and venue of Francis Ngannou vs Tyson Fury revealed

Recently, Mike Coppinger, a famous ESPN journalist gave fans a humongous update about this boxing fight. According to him, Ngannou and Fury have agreed to fight in the boxing ring on 28th October in Riyad.

He posted a side-by-side picture of Fury and Ngannou, and gave details about the future fights in the caption. “Tyson Fury, boxing’s lineal champion and Francis Ngannou, the former UFC heavyweight champion, will fight on Oct. 28 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, sources told ESPN”.

Moreover, he revealed that there is no confirmation whether The Gyspy King’s heavyweight title will be on the line or not. Also, the rules and regulations of this fight are not confirmed as of yet. “WBC president Mauricio Sulaiman didn’t respond to a text message asking if Fury’s heavyweight title will be on the line. The rules and number of rounds are unclear at this time.”

Is Francis Ngannou vs Tyson Fury an exhibition fight?

A few weeks ago, popular fight promoter Eddie Hearn gave an update that left fans frustrated. Speaking to Boxing Social, Hearn revealed that this mega-boxing fight was going to be an exhibition match. Moreover, the rules would also exclude knockdowns, as per Hearn.

“This is what I’ve heard. It’ll be an exhibition apparently. No knockdowns or anything. I’m only telling you what I’ve heard, who knows what’s what, but that is apparently what is going to be the next fight.”
