When Sandhagen faced Raphael Assuncao at the UFC 241 event, he was on a 6 fight win streak, and was on his way to a UFC title. He eventually faced Aljamain Sterling at the UFC 250 event.

This is where ‘The Sandman’ suffered his first UFC loss as Sterling took him down via a 1st round submission. Everyone was highly excited to see this fight, as even Sterling was coming into the fight on the back of 4 consecutive victories.
