Is Bryce Mitchell right to call out Elon Musk, or is he just stirring the pot?

The tension between science and religion, rooted in the beginnings of time, has profoundly shaped human history, often sparking conflicts. One notable example is the trial of Galileo, who proposed that the Sun is the center of the solar system, challenging the Roman Catholic Church’s geocentric view that placed Earth at the center. As humanity has evolved, this topic remains as heated as ever in the 21st century. A recent instance of this clash surfaced in the ongoing animosity between UFC featherweight contender Bryce Mitchell and Tesla boss Elon Musk.

Like two opposing sides of a coin, their feud came to light earlier this year when, in July, ‘Thug Nasty’ labeled Musk a “false prophet.” Over time, this disagreement has intensified, and it has once again emerged from the proverbial genie’s lamp.

Bryce Mitchell has carved out a distinct position in MMA with his promising performances in a short period. Beyond his athletic prowess, ‘Thug Nasty’ is known as a devout Christian with a strong faith in the Bible. This deeply held faith appears to be the driving force behind his disdain for Elon Musk. Musk, renowned for his high-profile ventures—from electric cars to space exploration, recently made headlines with his Neuralink project.

Recently, the company gained Canadian approval to initiate human trials for its brain chip, a development many consider a groundbreaking leap in technology. However, for someone like the deeply religious Bryce Mitchell, who believes altering God’s creation—the human body—is forbidden, this innovation is deeply troubling. Mitchell expressed his outrage on X, delivering a scathing message to Musk, saying, “@elonmusk you can fool the weak Christians, not me. You can’t break the firmament. Haha, loser. Earth is flat. Jesus is king. And that chip you want in everyone’s head, shove it up your a**.”

Bryce Mitchell is gearing up for his long-awaited return to the octagon next month at UFC 310, where he will face Kron Gracie in a highly anticipated five-round showdown at T-Mobile Arena. After taking a year off, ‘Thug Nasty’ is eager to bounce back from his previous loss to Josh Emmett. Despite the significant challenge ahead in his fight, it seems the featherweight’s attention is currently divided, as he has been voicing strong opinions about Elon Musk’s innovations rather than focusing solely on his upcoming bout.

‘Thug Nasty’ Slams Musk’s Cybertruck

Back in 2019, Elon Musk made waves in the automotive industry with his Tesla Cybertruck concept, a futuristic electric vehicle that became a reality last November. However, it wasn’t well-received by Bryce Mitchell, who released a video on Instagram criticizing Musk’s truck design and praising his own. In the video, ‘Thug Nasty’ presents a bitter conspiracy theory, claiming the truck is part of a trap by big corporations to make the experience unattainable for farmers and working-class people.

Along with Musk, Bryce Mitchell also lashed out at the politicians who allowed such creations to be approved. ‘Thug Nasty’ stated, “Elon Musk, you can kiss my a** buddy… There is a conspiracy against the farmer, against the working man, and these politicians are so out of touch with reality, they don’t even know what’s going on… As the years go by, they’re making [our trucks] more expensive, they’re relying on Chinese electronics, and they’re making them break… All you politicians, it’s a shame what you have done to this country. It’s a shame what you’ve done to our tractors.”

What’s your take on Bryce Mitchell’s consistent jabs at Elon Musk? Considering Musk’s close ties to UFC boss Dana White, which could potentially impact Mitchell’s future in the promotion, do you think it’s appropriate for him to impose his strong ideology on others, especially on X, which is now owned by Musk?
