On several occasions, the former 2-time middleweight champion talked about the hardships he had to endure during his childhood. However, the world of combat sports also took note of the time when Adesanya claimed that he had to rely on his servant to bathe him till he was 8 years old. But when Du Plessis brought it up during the press conference for UFC 305, all hell broke loose.

After Adesanya declared that he would go to Nigeria with the MW belt, DDP asked ‘Izzy’, “Are you taking the servants with you when you’re going back?” Needless to say, ‘The Last Stylebender’ got furious. He lashed out at his opponent while fighting back tears. He shouted, “Bro shut the f** up! You don’t even know anything about my story. You have no idea who the f** I am!”

Breaking down into tears, Adesanya said, “He touched the subject there, because I do this for my family. I do this for the people I love and I’ll fight for you forever, I swear to God. Watch this, look. I’m a f***ing human being, I’m a man and I can cry and whoop your a** at the same time!”

‘Izzy’ takes a jibe at ‘Stillknock’s comment about him fleeing Nigeria

Not too long ago, Du Plessis claimed that he was the only one who fought out of the African land, trained there, and lived there. He seemingly claimed that it made him a true African. But little did he know that Adesanya would lose his mind over it. After all, Adesanya’s family had to move to Ghana and then New Zealand, in search of better education.

The Nigerian fighter quoted, “Abdul Razak [Alhassan] said it three weeks ago before his fight. Dricus is a b** for what he’s saying… People like Razak and myself who were forced to flee our own country because of a better opportunity, [Du Plessis] will never understand that because he lives behind the f**** gates of his privileged life in South Africa.”
