Jared Cannonier is all set to face UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya at UFC 276. Cannonier, who is coming off two recent wins, will challenge ‘The Last Stylebender’ for the title at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Hence, when ‘The Killa Gorilla’ spoke about how the champion fights.

On ‘Submission Radio’, Cannonier said, “His footwork is like into a wrestler’s takedown. As the ability to control where the fight is going to take place. And his takedown defense.”
The UFC middleweight title challenger had an interesting take on Adesanya’s fight techniques. He said, “He’s been really good at using space to his advantage. Controlling time and space. Doctor Strange over here.”
“I just watched that movie yesterday.”
Thus, it looks like Cannonier has spent adequate time dissecting ‘The Last Stylebender’ and the way he fights.
With ‘The Killa Gorilla’ having ten wins via T/KO, it would be interesting to see what strategy he uses against Adesanya. After all, ‘Izzy’ has an elusive style and is quite difficult to hit inside the Octagon. His only professional MMA loss has been against Jan Blachowicz in the light heavyweight division.

‘Izzy‘ is a great kick-boxer; his fights so far attest to this. However, Cannonier, too, is a great striker. Despite his own striking abilities, the challenger knows he will need to be ‘multi-dimensional’ in order to defeat the champion.

Thus, with ‘Izzy’ striving to work on his grappling and Cannonier believing he needs to be multi-dimensional, fans could get the opportunity to see Adesanya and Cannonier wrestle for a bit.
