We see artists, athletes, and celebrities thanking others when they get an award or achievement. But have you seen anyone thank themselves on camera? Have you ever thanked yourself in front of everyone? If not, then Ilia Topuria will change that for you because he recently thanked himself for all his achievements. The ‘El Matador’ who was crowned the featherweight champ complimented himself on his prowess.

In a new Instagram post, the fighter with a record of 15-0-0 decided to thank himself, which astonished the fans. Posting his picture, the fighter wrote, “Today I want to express my gratitude to this person for providing me with everything I have, for supporting me to withstand any circumstance and for never losing faith in God and the attraction of all good things to me. Always relying on me and giving me the life I now enjoy. Today I want to thank myself for all the times I’ve respected myself, loved myself, and forgiven myself.”

‘El Matador’ scored a KO victory over Alexander Volkanovski at UFC 298 and this win propelled him to the forefront. Not only that but now he is confident and more ambitious as well. He even stated that he would become the highest-paid athlete in 2025 and surpass Cristiano Ronaldo who is the highest-paid athlete at the moment. “I can tell you I do not doubt that in 2025, I will be the highest-paid athlete in the world,” Topuria claimed.

He had faced backlash from fans for this comment. A fighter’s pay is an extremely serious issue in MMA and many fighters have complained because they do not get paid their dues. Meanwhile, Topuria’s confidence is still soaring high and has not been deterred at all. Now his new post where he is thanking himself has taken the internet by storm.
