Ilia Topuria promised to get the featherweight belt for Spain, and he delivered it. His second-round brutal knockout was the highlight of the UFC 298. Topuria is now looking at options and sees that Conor McGregor is at a higher rank for ‘El Matador’ than any other fighter in his division.

After the spectacular victory, at the UFC 298 presser, Topuria emphasized that he would face McGregor at any weight class and he would be waiting for the Irish sensation at his home ground: Spain. When the reporter asked Topuria why he wanted to lock horns against McGregor, Topuria had one thing to say.

“Because Conor represents the last chapter in MMA, I will actually go through the last chapter and leave him behind, forgotten,” said Topuria at the UFC 298 presser. ‘El Matador’ is not looking at a red panty night; however, he wants to dethrone the face of UFC and leave him behind the shadows of his former self.
