TUF 31 began with hopes of Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler facing each other inside the Octagon in the finale. Although McGregor stayed out of the cage since his gruesome injury at UFC 264, he hinted at fighting Chandler and sent out a wave of excitement to the fans. However, the former UFC contender, Chael Sonnen, believes that the fight might not take place.
In a recent episode of his talk show on YouTube, ‘Bad Guy Inc’, Sonnen revealed some of his thoughts about the rumored fight between McGregor and Chandler. He disclosed that he hadn’t seen anyone with information about the venue, tickets, or the poster. Furthermore, he attacked the ‘Mystic Mac’ for disagreeing with USADA guidelines. He stood strong in his belief that although it seemed like the two fighters would enter the Octagon against each other, the reality was different.

Sonnen recently shared his thoughts on the apparent fight between ‘The Notorious’ and ‘Iron’. While the fans were excited about the Irishman’s return, Sonnen’s beliefs presented nothing but disappointment.
‘The American Gangster’ pointed out that McGregor and Chandler gave different classes when asked about the fight’s weight category. Sonnen said, “You would think that they’re going to fight. It would seem that they’re going to fight. You ask Conor and Chandler what the weight class of their fight is, they don’t say the same number. Nobody has a venue, nobody has it on sale, nobody has tickets. There’s no poster that’s coming out.”
Furthermore, the former mixed martial artist pointed out how the ‘Mystic Mac’ was yet to be cleared by USADA. He recalled the Dubliner’s response when USADA asked him to stay under the testing pool for six months. Sonnen said, “Very powerful organization, in USADA, who’s saying this can’t happen till x, y, z, plus 180 days. You have a very powerful organization, known as Team McGregor, saying I need two clean tests and I can do those in the same week. I mean, it’s one of these things that’s very interesting. I’m into it, I’m into the whole thing. But, there’s nothing about that, that feels like they’re gonna fight.”

Previously, ‘The Notorious’ took to Twitter and released a series of tweets badmouthing USADA. However, he quickly deleted them. The Irishman was apparently annoyed when USADA asked him to come under the testing pool.
He declared that he was previously told to come clean in two tests, and not stay under surveillance for six months. The fighter revealed that he never violated and had over 70 tests done. Finally, he wrote, “You are not the be all end all in this equation usada.”
