Khabib Nurmagomedov’s team simply won’t leave any chance of hurtling insults at Conor McGregor (and vice versa). Following his recent troubles with the law, the Irish mixed martial artist has been facing quite some issues in his professional, as well as personal life. Starting from the fallout with his own brands, he went on to even risk losing his $3.6 million mansion in Ireland. And Team Khabib has been reminding the Irishman of the risk every single chance they get.

On the day of the new year, the ‘Mystic Mac’ took to X and typed in, “2025 IS COMING!!” The text was followed by an Irish flag emoji. But the manager of the Dagestani team, Ali Abdelaziz, swooped in to reply with a snide remark. Abdelaziz wrote, “What about this house?” Of course, this wasn’t the first time when the Dagestani manager commented about McGregor’s house.

With his legal issues causing massive problems for him, McGregor was rumored to leave behind his luxurious mansion and move out of Ireland. According to reports, he left his K Club residence and went to Dubai for an extended stay along with his family back in December. But Abdelaziz seemed to be enjoying it all. On 29th December 2024, the Arab-American manager tweeted, “[Conor McGregor] I heard you leave Ireland because [of] your court [case] do you wanna sell your house?”

No doubt, it was all in response to what Conor McGregor had to say back when Khabib Nurmagomedov was forced to let his family home go because of his tax evasion. It was indeed a perfect moment for the Irishman to troll his former rival. He DMed ‘The Eagle’ and offered to buy his family home from the Russian government. The texts read, “Brotha I just put in to buy your family home off government because you can’t afford I plan on big smelly Irish st… Brotha you abandon from family and now I take your house for s–t and p—.”

While Abdelaziz was rubbing salt on McGregor’s wounds, the Irish fighter landed in a great dilemma. ‘The Notorious’ had previously planned to expand his property in Ireland. But with the current legal scenario revolving around him, things might not proceed as the former UFC double champion had planned.

What’s your perspective on:

Is McGregor's lavish lifestyle catching up with him, or will he bounce back stronger than ever?

Have an interesting take?

What had Conor McGregor planned for the renovation of his Irish mansion?

‘Mystic Mac’ planned to build 6 bedrooms in his luxury home. Well, he currently has a 5-bedroom house in Straffan and wanted to demolish that to make room for 6 bedrooms with a cinema hall and a luxury swimming pool. He also planned to make the mansion with 2 levels along with a basement. There would be balconies, covered terraces, a gaming area, parking, and a ramped driveway.

He had already begun the construction work with approval from Kildare County Council in 2021. But after McGregor was found liable in the civil case filed against him by Nikita Hand, things came to a hard stop for the MMA star. The council apparently sought more information regarding the former UFC double champ’s plans. As per the Kildare County Council, the location that McGregor had chosen for the wastewater treatment system, could cause problems in providing new access points to public roads. A total of 7 points were raised, mostly of which were linked to waste disposal, asking the MMA athlete to bring in his answers.

McGregor now has to provide the additional information by mid-January 2025. If he fails to do so, his application will be withdrawn. ‘The Notorious’ is also supposed to provide detailed and exact locations of the local streams and ditches. Will he be able to provide the additional information in time? That remains to be seen. But what do you think of Abdelaziz’s jibes at McGregor? Let us know what you think in the comments down below.
