Conor McGregor has not competed in a minute but he might just make more than what his UFC base pay is! Promoting ‘Duelbits’ after partnering with them, the UFC star has placed some big bets, including the one last weekend on Nate Diaz to beat Jorge Masvidal. Now, ‘The Notorious’ is going with ‘Duelbits’ once again, backing their bold prediction of a 3-1 result in favor of Spain. He also has a bet on defending champions Argentina to win the Copa America as well. An Instagram page named Championship Rounds listed the details.

They wrote, “Conor McGregor has the chance to win $6.6 MILLION in a single week! Won $1.6M last week when Nate Diaz defeated Jorge Masvidal, Wins $1M if Argentina wins the Copa America final. Wins $1.2M if Spain wins the Euro 2024 final. Wins $2.8M if Spain wins 3-1 vs England.”

The page predicted how much the former dual weight champ would win if his predictions came true and the total wins would amount to a huge $6.6 million. His bets have already reached the final stages as he has wagered $365,000 on Messi and Argentina becoming consecutive two-time champions of the Americas. This would earn him $1,003,750. He also bet on 17-year-old Lamine Yamal and his team from Spain. He was very impressed by the young player and even gave an Instagram story about him.

McGregor posted on Twitter/X about his bets and wrote, “Hey guys, Spain are winning 3-1 tomorrow. I have placed €100k on @Duelbits at the amazing odds of 19/1. This result will see me take in €2m cash as well as the €1.1m I will cash on them just winning! €3.1m all in! The match is on my birthday! Tomorrow! Good luck and YOU’RE WELCOME!”

Later, he clarified that the odds on the scoreline were actually 25-1 and not 19-1. He has made various football bets this month and this also included Cristiano Ronaldo to win the Golden Boot in Germany. However, this prediction did not play in his favor and the 39-year-old star could not win in his 6th Euro.

Meanwhile, his bet on Nate Diaz worked wonders for both the fighters, and Diaz had a characteristic response to the same.

Why did McGregor bet on Nate Diaz?

He bet a whopping $5ook on Diaz and won approximately 1.625 million dollars when Diaz won against Jorge Masvidal. McGregor and Diaz already have a history having fought each other twice and sharing one win apiece. However, they have always shown camaraderie, and this time it benefitted both.

Meanwhile, veterans in UFC were questioning why McGregor decided to bet on Diaz. Chael Sonnen and Daniel Cormier discussed this risky bet. Cormier spoke on the Good Guy/Bad Guy podcast and said, “Nate Diaz fights Jorge Masvidal. I did not think Nate could win. Conor McGregor on the other hand goes, ‘I think Nate’s gonna beat him.’ Bet $500,000 Chael wins $1.6 billion on Nate Diaz. So essentially Chael Conor McGregor is so good at making money he was the highest-paid fighter on a card last week that he didn’t even fight on.”

‘The American Gangster’ then said that scared money did not make money. Even though UFC fighters were pitted against their opponents, there was always respect and camaraderie present between the athletes. Sonnen even gave the example of Cormier and Jon Jones. Sonnen complimented McGregor since he had faith in Diaz and showed his respect to the latter. It also shows that McGregor knows where to bet money and he has a long thought out process.

So do you think his bet might come true this time as well?
