Few fighters enjoy the influence and stardom that Conor McGregor commands in the combat sports world. The Irishman’s UFC career has seen him become the biggest star ever in the promotion, and in the sport of MMA to date. This status comes with certain privileges that the 34-year-old alone enjoys.
For instance, Conor McGregor never has a shortage of opponents. “The Notorious” one has competed at three weight classes in the UFC and hence receives callouts from fighters in all three divisions. Currently, fortune has favored ex-Bellator champ Michael Chandler with a shot at McGregor. However, Chandler has to dance to McGregor’s tune for his shot at the famed red panty night.

John Kavanagh further added, “…it’s the red panty night. There’s no secret about that. So, yeah, of course, he wants that. To fight the biggest and most iconic star in your sport.”
He continued, “You know, if you’re a basketball player, they go one-on-one with Michael Jordan. [If] you’re an MMA fighter, to have that build-up and share the octagon with the biggest name in the sport for the biggest payday of your career. Yeah, guess what? He’ll do what he’s told, and gladly, and smile doing it.”
UFC president Dana White recently admitted that things are starting to heat up between McGregor and Chandler on TUF. There were also reports of a physical altercation during filming. All this news has got the fans hyped for the upcoming season of the show.
