Upon Dana White‘s recent indication, Michael Chandler is now one step closer to his dream fight against Conor McGregor. Chandler believes that this would be ‘the biggest fight in the entire world’ to take place. During an interview with MMA Junkie, the ‘Iron’ explained why he is the ideal matchup for ‘The Notorious’ and panned out the outline for this potential matchup.
The 36-year-old said, “There’s one thing that’s undeniable. Dana knows it, the UFC knows it, Conor knows it. I’ve become the most exciting guy in the UFC.”
“People have said think it’s going to be the fastest-paced, craziest first round of all time and I definitely think it will be,” Chandler stated.

“Hopefully at T-Mobile Arena here in Vegas, in July. So, it’s going to be huge, it’s going to be awesome and I believe it’s going to happen. Things are moving in the right direction, so let’s make it happen,” said Chandler. And the way he envisions this fight, it appears to be nothing short of a spectacle.
The ‘Iron’ said he wants McGregor to be his best and most dangerous self for this bout and has his sights set on taking on ‘The Notorious’ at 170.
Chandler wishes McGregor a speedy recovery
As much as Michael Chandler wants this fight to take place, he also wants the best for Conor McGregor, too. Chandler extended McGregor his warmest wishes and expressed his desire for his well-being. “I’ve wished Conor a speedy recovery since the very beginning,” said Chandler.
He further added, “It’s not like he sprained his ankle, t’s not like he broke his hand, t’s not like he broke his nose, you know. The guy shattered his leg.”
