It’s been two years since the ‘Notorious’ was last seen in the Octagon. In his last fight with Poirier, Conor Mcgregor broke his leg during the battle. Since then, the fans have been waiting for his comeback in the ring. Recently, the former champ took to Instagram and shared a photo of himself, looking ready for a comeback.

After taking a break from the Octagon, McGregor put on a substantial amount of weight. However, in his recent Instagram post, he looks much younger and fitter. It seems ‘The Notorious’ is ready to make a splash on his return and the fans are excited as they storm the comments!

The ‘Notorious’ all set to make a comeback

McGregor has gone 2-3 on his last five outings, which includes two back-to-back losses to Poirier. Their previous encounter at UFC 264 ended with McGregor suffering a nasty leg injury. This forced the former champion to stay out of the ring for two years. However, it seems the Irish is all set to return to the ring and looks in sublime shape.

While McGregor looked bulky and out of shape in his earlier posts. He looks extremely toned down in his recent Instagram post. We know McGregor for his ridiculous work ethic and hard work. It was just a matter of time before the champ returned to his usual self. McGregor is all set to fight Michael Chandler in his comeback. 

Given McGregor’s confident words and recent posts. Fans took to Instagram and shared their excitement in anticipation of the comeback. 

One fan praised him for his current shape and commented:

 “He looks so much better in this shape.”

Another one shared his love for the former champion and commented, 

“I LOVE CONOR McGregor!!”

One of his fans reminded the world who he was and commented, 

Champ champ”

Known for his ridiculous work ethic, one user gave him a unique name and commented, 

“El Machín”

McGregor is one of the best fighters in the UFC, and one fan confirmed this and commented, 

“The best of UFC”

It is very clear from the comments that the fans are eager for his comeback. His transformation is stunning, and we believe he will dominate his comeback fight. With the fight already scheduled with Chandler, let’s inspect how the whole battle got set up.

Conor Mcgregor vs. Michael Chandler is the fight of the ages

Earlier this year, McGregor and Chandler clashed as coaches on The Ultimate Fighter. Both fighters were scheduled to fight after the show was over. However, the Irishman’s trouble with the USADA and his absence from the testing pool delayed their fight. With the UFC parting ways with the USADA this January, things might materialize sooner for the ‘Notorious’.

Although the fight date has not yet been fixed, both fighters are definitely going against each other. Though McGregor is not in the testing pool, so his fight has been delayed until April. Dana White and the UFC are also trying hard to push the fight earlier. Fans look desperate for the bout to happen, and so does Mcgregor. Will ‘The Notorious’ come back like a champ?
