Conor McGregor was last seen inside the Octagon at UFC 264 when he took on Dustin Poirier for a rematch. The 35-year-old lost the fight via knockout after he suffered a massive leg injury. However, the former two-division champion is back to full fitness and has showed his willingness to return to the Octagon. In a recent X video, McGregor announced his return and chose the International Fight Week as his return date against Michael Chandler. Helwani in a recent X video doesn’t quite agree to the fact.

He said: “Trust me when I tell you he has two fights left. That’s not a coincidence. It’s good to have him around as you are negotiating new TV deals and pay-per-view deals, etc. They are going to dry. This is going to turn into the Nate Diaz things all over again. There’s no reason why this guy shouldn’t be at 300. There’s no reason why he shouldn’t be in June. Let’s see if he ends up being in June. But what are we doing here? He’s ready to go. He has told us this. He’s ready to go. Why are you icing him? It’s crazy.”

Daniel Cormier rules out McGregor-Chandler for UFC 300

Daniel Cormier in a recent You Tube revealed that the possibility of the much-awaited fight at UFC 300 is not on the cards. Usually any fight involving Conor McGregor is announced well in advance and the UFC 300 is only a few months away. Also “The Notorious” One took his X account to announce the date for his return and it will be the International Fight Week. The former UFC champion and hall of famer also feels that the fight may not feature at the UFC 300. However he does feel that the fight may happen in the future.

In the video he said: “Some ideas in my mind as to what I think or hope UFC 300 main event will be. I don’t know if it’ll come to fruition, but I do believe that it won’t be McGregor.” He further said:  “It won’t be, I don’t think it’ll be McGregor-Chandler. I think it’ll be something different, but I do believe that these guys will fight. Now, before, I didn’t think for a second that Michael Chandler would get that fight against Conor McGregor, but I do believe now that they’ll get it.”
