Discussing the prospective bout with Chandler, the Brazilian former Lightweight Champion conceded that the match could make sense because of TUF 31. However, it may not be entirely justified. He stated, “You know, like to be honest with you, I don’t think Chandler deserves that fight. There’s other guys that deserve that fight. But I think it’ll make sense because of the show and all of that“.

When probed further about who these ‘other guys’ might be, Anjos highlighted Justin Gaethje as a potential deserving opponent for McGregor. He spoke, “Oh man I think Justin Gaethje is a guy that has fought everybody”. He also didn’t shy away from proposing himself as a worthy challenger, “Uh, who else? Myself. And, yeah, that was the only those guys that come to my mind”. Dos Anjos underlined his argument and stated, “There’s a couple of guys that’s been in the game for very long. They deserve that fight”.

RDA speaks on his missed opportunity

Having once been scheduled to take on McGregor in his stunning career, Dos Anjos also addressed the speculation of a missed opportunity. When asked about it he remained level-headed and expressed no regrets. A cool RDA showed no signs of brooding over the past. He said, “Not at all. I have no frustrations on my career. I’m a very, I feel like fulfillness, fulfillment in my career you know. I have no regrets”. Following this, he also said, “If it don’t happen, don’t happen, you know….. I still have everything I want”. RDA’s words reflected his very calm and collected perspective.
