Conor McGregor has shaken the MMA world with his latest update. Lately, ‘The Notorious’ has been busy promoting his upcoming role in the ‘Road House’ movie alongside Jake Gyllenhaal. While he had recently claimed that the UFC and CEO Dana White’s delay in confirming a date had caused him a lot of trouble, the Irishman has finally received the call he had been waiting for!

In a recent conversation with Barstool sports during a ‘Road House’ promotional event, the former ‘champ-champ’ dropped a massive bombshell regarding his fight against Michael Chandler. And his comments also hinted that he might be returning to the cage at a higher weight class than before!

During the interview with Robbie Fox from Barstool, Conor McGregor was asked the question, “…You’re back in fight mode, is the thought still 185 lbs?”, in reference to his prior statements on social media that he wishes to fight Michael Chandler in June at the above mentioned weight division.

McGregor responded by stating, “Yeah, I’m gonna jump on a scale though, I haven’t jumped on the scale in a minute so, I’ll get on the scale. Yeah, 185, 170, I actually, let’s see what the scale things. Main thing is, I’ve got great news, I got the call, everything, it’s all a go.. ”

While McGregor didn’t confirm the specific weight limit for the bout, his statement suggests that the work for securing a date for the fight is in motion, bringing relief and excitement to fans eagerly awaiting his return. As McGregor emphasized, the crucial aspect is that the fight is happening, signaling the beginning of what promises to be an electrifying showdown.

‘Mystic Mac’ makes a prediction about Michael Chandler

In a recent conversation with ESPN’s Marc Raimondi, Conor McGregor also revealed his plans for Michael Chandler when they finally meet each other inside the Octagon.

He stated, “Now, look see this, its Chandler, you got to shut up Michael you f**kin imbecile. The man doesn’t shut up. I seen him on Raw and all, I like Mike, I’m gonna bust him up, I’m gonna bust Mike up. If I say it, I do it. If I say it, it gets done, end of.”

His comments refer to the recent appearance made by Chandler on WWE’s Raw where he called out McGregor by stating, “Get your candy a** back in the Octagon” and also claimed they have “unfinished business”

Their fight was originally announced in 2023 and was set to occur after the TUF 31 season, where both men appeared as coaches on the show. But due to multiple hindrances in the form of McGregor’s athlete testing status and delays by the UFC and Dana White in securing a date, it’s evident that both men are raring to finally settle the score, once and for all.
