‘The Notorious’ Conor McGregor is by far the best in MMA at selling fights. McGregor holds 8 of the top positions in the list of the highest-selling PPVs in the UFC. And his fights against the Stockton native, Nate Diaz, were probably one of the best rivalries in the UFC. Both fighters hold one win each against the other. So what are the odds of a trilogy fight between the two, and will it happen at UFC 300?

Though a rubber match was quite in high demand after the second fight between McGregor and Diaz, the fight never took form. Diaz has since exited from the UFC and McGregor has been sidelined after suffering an injury during the trilogy fight between him and Dustin Poirier. However, a recent post from McGregor on his X (formerly known as Twitter) had fans profusely waiting for a big announcement for UFC 300.

Given that there is a possibility for a rematch against the original BMF, Nate Diaz, we can’t deny the chance for a fight to take place at UFC 300 between the two. Given the legendary build-up to the earlier two fights, we can most certainly expect the same for the third if it takes place.
