‘The Notorious’ lashed out at UFC light heavyweight contender Anthony Smith over his comments that Mystic Mac’s leg healed way too fast. Former UFC 2 division champion Conor McGregor suffered a horrific leg break in his last fight against Dustin Poirier at the T-Mobile Arena in Nevada on 10th July 2021. Although it has been over one and a half years, the Irishman is yet to grace the Octagon. Since then, he has returned to training and has been updating his fans with regular social media posts during his training sessions.

For the same reason, fans globally and even UFC fighters such as Anthony Smith have been left wondering. A leg break of the same level takes time to heal. Furthermore, McGregor has never looked in better shape. With an injury of this sort, how can one achieve such a god-like physique?

The first 2 division champion recently announced through a tweet that he will be back in action after entering the USADA testing pool in February 2023.

McGregor fires shots at Smith over his doping accusations

The American light heavyweight fighter hinted that Mystic Mac’s leg break perhaps healed too quickly. “It bothers the f*ck out of me” he claimed. Firstly, the Irish globetrotter pulled out of the USADA pool, for which there could only be 1 reason, he claimed. Furthermore, he is looking “jacked as sh*t” which indicated that he might be taking the help of steroids to heal quicker.

 

Clean-shaved McGregor was quick to reply and called Smith a “rat“; he further claimed that Smith, along with others, would be much happier if McGregor was unable to play with his children the same way again.

In the second tweet of the same series, ‘The Notorious‘ replied by claiming that Anthony Smith is a “loser!“. He said, “The % of the bones joining back after a break like this is so low. You think I give a f**k about anything else. I am the most tested fighter all time in combat sport. I give everything to this game.

You – Nothing!” he added.

Conor McGregor looks set for a comeback

By the looks of it, The Mystic Mac is gearing up for a comeback to the Octagon sooner rather than later. He aspires to book a fight as early as Q1-2023. Although in the last 1 and a half years since his injury, he has been more active on social media than inside the Octagon due to his injury, posting photos of his 2 OG belts.

He was called out by his arch-nemesis Khabib ‘The Eagle’ Nurmagomedov as well. When the Dagestani claimed that ‘he took over’ the UFC while ‘The Mystic Mac’ is just taking part. The former undefeated UFC lightweight champion is currently coaching the current lightweight champion, Islam Makhachev.
