Conor McGregor isn’t happy with the UFC and Dana White giving in to Dustin Poirier’s demands! At the upcoming UFC 302 lightweight title clash against Islam Makhachev, ‘The Diamond’ will be making the walk out to the cage wearing a pair of ‘floral’ shorts that he had been campaigning for since UFC 299.

But the move hasn’t exactly pleased ‘The Notorious’ whose own demands appear to have been ignored by the UFC boss. In a recent post on social media, the Irishman took a jab at Poirier’s choice of fight gear which indicated that ‘The Diamond’s flashy threads haven’t exactly impressed McGregor. Let’s take a look at what he had to say!

After his impressive UFC 299 performance against Benoit Saint-Denis that punched his ticket to a title clash against Islam Makhachev, Dustin Poirier had revealed that he would like to change up his in-cage gear for his next fight. During the post-fight press conference, he had stated, “If Brendan gets purple shorts, I gotta get floral. First things first…”

During the UFC 302 fight week, UFC’s clothing partner Venum obliged by providing the Louisiana native with his very own custom gear for his fight against Makhachev. However, Conor McGregor took to social media to blast the design by stating, “Perfect for a bloodied up p**sy”.

It appears that ‘The Notorious’ isn’t pleased with the UFC ignoring his demands as he had previously stated, “U.S. Dollar bill shorts for me.” With McGregor set to make his return to the cage at UFC 303 on June 29th, it remains to be seen if the UFC will finally oblige him and grant him the “dollar bill” shorts design that he has requested as the UFC had previously also provided fighters with custom-designed shorts for the historic UFC 300 card!

Fighters like Alex Pereira, Zhang Weili, Max Holloway and Justin Gaethje all made the walk to the Octagon wearing their own choice of designs, marking the first time since the now-defunct Reebok deal in 2015 that UFC fighters were allowed to wear gear according to their own design preferences. But while ‘Mystic Mac’ has been busy slamming Poirier’s choice of shorts, ‘The Diamond’ has made a bold prediction for the Irishman’s rapidly approaching return to the cage.

Dustin Poirier recently made his prediction for the upcoming clash between Michael Chandler and Conor McGregor. Having faced both men inside the cage and holding victories over them too, ‘The Diamond’ has provided his unique perspective on this long-awaited matchup between the Irishman and ‘Iron’!

In an interview with Fox News, Poirier stated, “I think if Conor comes back anywhere similar to where he was before the injury, timing wise and movement wise, I think he’s gonna knock Michael Chandler out.”

He also confessed that the fight is a “bad matchup” Chandler who has a tendency to be aggressive and lunge forward which might just lead him to eat a counter-left hand from ‘The Notorious’. Do you think Michael Chandler will be able to overcome the odds against Conor McGregor?
