After Michael C͏handler ͏ditched Conor McGregor to fight Char͏les Oliveira at UFC 309, the former dual͏-͏weight͏ ͏champion is le͏ft ͏with no choice but t͏o dema͏nd ne͏w oppo͏nents from the UFC bras͏s. ‘͏The Noto͏rious’ is ͏eager to settle his ongoin͏g beef with the former ͏Bella͏tor champi͏on, but͏ before͏ ͏t͏hat, ‘Mystic͏ Mac’ has a few other͏ n͏ames ͏in mind who could be͏ potential ͏oppon͏ents.

It’s quite surprising that Co͏nor͏ McGregor ͏i͏s finding it difficult to secure o͏ppone͏nts, especially considering that h͏a͏l͏f o͏f the͏ promotion ha͏s already ͏called hi͏m out. But wh͏o does ‘Mystic ͏Mac’ really ͏want ͏to fight? During his c͏onversation wi͏th͏ ‘The Sc͏hmo’, the D͏ub͏liner was asked͏ abou͏t a po͏tent͏ial tr͏ilogy ͏with Nate Diaz as well as a fourth͏ bout wit͏h Dusti͏n Poirier. As ͏usu͏al, McG͏regor seemed ͏unfazed an͏d expre͏ssed interest in ͏faci͏ng ͏both͏ of th͏em in th͏e near futur͏e.

“Both of them, both is a must for sure. You know, the Dustin one’s not settled; it’s 1-1. And the Diaz one is also 1-1. So, two big blockbuster matches, and I’d be excited to get them locked in,” said Conor McGregor. A few days ago, Nate Diaz even took to his X handle to issue a callout to Conor McGregor as well as Terrance Crawford, “I box Crawford and fight Conor next 168 Ifg.” Conor McGregor’s response? He wrote, “What a shape for a body shot,” indicating that he is still open to fighting Diaz.

In addition to that, Dustin Poirier is also looking to fight for the last time before considering retirement as well. ‘Diamond’ lost his chance to claim the lightweight gold when he fought against Islam Makhachev. The MMA community thought that this would be the end of the story for the former interim lightweight champion but his recent plans have the entire community thinking about him.

What’s the plan, you ask? ‘Diamond’ wants the promotion to go back to its roots and have a four-man super fight derby for the ‘BMF’ belt. It would include him, Justin Gaethje, Max Holloway and Dan Hooker. The Louisiana native proposed this idea in his conversation with Sirius XM. So, where does Conor McGregor stand here? Let us find out.

Will Conor McGregor be a part of Dustin Poirier’s four-man BMF derby?

Conor McGregor‘s comeback story is yet to conclude as his opponent is yet to be decided. The former dual-weight champion is looking for opponents but after the UFC 303 fiasco, the top brass of the promotion has stated that they would let ‘Notorious’ fight under their banner when he is completely ready. Months have passed since then and there’s no confirmation about the ‘Notorious’ return but Dustin Poirier might be the key to it.

While in conversation with Sirius XM, Poirier expressed his willingness to fight in a four-man tournament like the old days, “That [tournament] excites me… because that kind of stuff is for the dogs, man. That’s like the old PRIDE days or Grand Prixs, you know? That’s a real BMF. If you can fight in a tournament in one night, multiple opponents, I mean, dude, that’s kind of the definition of a BMF.”

Now you might be thinking, how will Poirier be there the key to McGregor’s return to the Octagon? Well, the UFC CEO seems to be up for the idea. At the Dana White contender series, press conference, the UFC CEO was inquired about Poirier’s concept fight, to which he said, “Sounds fun. Never thought about it, but yeah, I love it.”
