The biggest star of the UFC has been away from the UFC for a long time now. It has been three years since Conor McGregor last stepped foot inside the Octagon and the MMA community is dying to witness their favorite star fight. However, Dana White and co seem to be delaying his comeback. The Irishman himself has stated that the delay has started getting on his nerves now.
The call for help was so intense that even McGregor’s former rival, Nate Diaz heard it and raised their voice against the UFC administration. Conor McGregor is busy with the promotion of his movie ‘Road House’ but the fighter is demanding a proper date for his comeback. In his latest confession, McGregor stated that he is unaware of his future in the UFC.

It’s been months and there has been no announcement of a proper date for Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler‘s fight. On the eve of the new year, ‘Notorious’ claimed that he would lock horns with Chandler during International Fight Week. However, such a claim was later disregarded by Dana White who stated that he would let everyone know when McGregor would fight.
The Irishman in one of his recent escapades stated that he is feeling as if the UFC is sidelining him. He further stated that he is losing motivation for training as no dates are being announced by the UFC CEO. Interestingly, Nate Diaz took things into his own hands and called out Dana White and Co to free McGregor from their clutches.
However, despite everything, there have been no developments so far. While having a conversation with ESPN, McGregor stated that he is unaware of his future in the promotion now. “I have two fights left in my UFC contract. I’m excited to get them. What’s next? I don’t know. I have not been accosted by, you know, there’s no talk about re-signing. I don’t know how you would even approach someone like me to re-sign”, said McGregor.
He further added “What would that look like? I’m sure they are thinking about it. You know, Lorenzo probably would have been at my door two fights ago, maybe to re-sign me. So, I don’t know what way they are going to do. So, I suppose they wanted to see how things play out too, so I don’t know.”
Conor McGregor’s frustration is palpable because Dana White seems to be keeping him for a better contract and this seems to have irked, McGregor’s coach John Kavanagh.

John Kavanagh expressed his frustrations with Dana White and Co
Conor McGregor has two fights left on his contract and seems like White is taking his time to offer a better contract. However, the delay is not only messing with the mind of the fighter but also the coach as well. John Kavanagh in a conversation with renowned journalist Ariel Helwani stated that their entire team is making efforts for his comeback but there have been no signs of it yet.
“I won’t pretend to know the politics and what’s going on with legal stuff in the background. All I know is it seems odd that we’re not getting [any news]. Like I said, I really am speaking from a position of ignorance because I actually try to purposefully avoid all of that. Audie [Attar] and the team, they do all that, they go back and forth with Hunter [Campbell] and the UFC team. But yeah, it’s weird to me for someone to be the star he is and not get more opportunities.” said John Kavanagh.
