Former two-division champion Conor McGregor now wants to turn one of his pubs into a four-storey hotel. The Dubliner purchased the “Waterside” pub in 2022 as a part of the investment. The 35-year-old has reportedly asked for permission to demolish the current four-story building in the town of Howth. According to the plans of the Irish UFC superstar, a new four-story hotel and a five-story pub will be put up in its place.
In a recent Q&A he hosted on Instagram, a fan asked McGregor about the same. The Dubliner replied, laying out his plans. He wrote, “As soon as planning is agreed I will be in to operate asap. High-quality entertainment and service around luxury hotel amenities, magnificent decor, large pub and restaurant, private rooftop bar, out of this world set up, no cost spared, everything is set.”
He continued, “I just need green light and I will work tirelessly to bring howth to the level it deserves and usher in major business and employment and enjoyment for all in the area. Here is hoping it goes smooth.”
