Conor McGregor enjoys unparalleled star power in the combat sports world. His recent presence at BKFC 41 is a testament to the influence he holds over the scene. The Irishman was in attendance to watch several former colleagues from the UFC compete inside the BKFC circle. The 34-year-old had his own highlight moment as former UFC welterweight Mike Perry invited him into the ring for a face-off.
BKFC 41 saw Mike Perry face former UFC and Strikeforce champion Luke Rockhold in the main event. ‘Platinum’ forced Rockhold to quit after a competitive first round. Following the win, the 31-year-old had an interesting request involving the star attendee of the event, Conor McGregor.

During his post-fight interview, Mike Perry requested to have an in-ring face-off with Conor McGregor. Not one to shy away from the spotlight, McGregor was happy to oblige his former colleague’s request. ‘The Notorious’ one entered the ring and was also handed over a BKFC belt.
The pair faced off and exchanged a few words of respect. McGregor congratulated Perry on the win and Perry acknowledged he had learned a few lessons from McGregor.

The charismatic Irishman had a moment on the mic later and appreciated the BKFC production. He said, “It’s an incredible set-up here. Incredible matchmaking, incredible storytelling.”
‘Mystic Mac’ continued, “I had to come here. I flew in straight away. I was not gonna miss this and this did not disappoint. All these fighters that step in here are warriors and all have my respect.”
Finally, he added, “I’m in this game yeah? I be into this… How am I just showing up here and I’ve already got the belt? Come get it baby! Come get the shot baby!”

All things considered, McGregor did his fair share to shift some attention to the BKFC event. A master at self-promotion, he also used it to hype himself up with the BKFC title over his shoulder.
