Conor McGregor’s debut has drawn a ton of praise from figures like Joe Rogan, who proclaimed in a recent episode of the JRE (Joe Rogan Experience), “Listen, Conor McGregor could be a movie star, easy. If ‘The Rock’ can do it, you don’t think Conor Mcgregor can do it? 100% he could do it, and he’s a character man, look at him, he’s a f**king character dude.”

McGregor himself has demonstrated a deep commitment to his role, as evidenced by his social media posts revealing behind-the-scenes details and the thought process behind ‘Knox’s’ character development. ‘The Notorious’ shared a picture of his back-tattoo from the film on his Instagram story, with the caption, “I carry the highland mountains on my back. Yup The McGregor clan. Ya know us. Ambush. The specialty. S’rioghail Mo Dhream Ard Choille!”

In another post, McGregor appears to be speaking in character as ‘Knox’ as he stated, “IM OWED AS WELL, ILL NEED THAT, NOTHING FOR NOTHING, SOMETHING FOR SOMETHING. THANKS @thecutpricejewellers FOR THE HELP MAKING MY CHAIN. AND @mrs_donlon FOR ARRANGING MY RARE PATEK I ALSO BROUGHT WITH ME TO INCORPORATE INTO THE CHARACTER THAT IS “KNOX”

It’s also interesting to note that McGregor’s efforts in his acting debut were fueled by Meryl Streep’s comments at the 2017 Golden Globes where she had claimed that mixed martial arts are “not the arts”. This led to the Irishman revealing in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, “…so I came in with maybe a little chip on my shoulder and wanting to represent my sport and my art, give my best in this arena.”

As McGregor continues to make waves in the entertainment industry, his dedication to his role in “Road House” and the attention to detail he brings serve as a testament to his versatility and potential as a multifaceted talent beyond the realm of mixed martial arts.
