Months have passed since Conor McGregor first hinted at going for a presidential run. It was a time when the people wanted him to focus on his return to the UFC instead of running for the presidential elections. But now, things have started to go in a different way. But that came with a declaration from ‘The Notorious’. He went on to address the rumors surrounding his plan to house more than 300 families. People have begun to see the good that the Irish fighter has done for the community, amid the housing shortage that has led to a severe homelessness crisis. So, where did the problem lie?
Well, McGregor indeed spent a fortune trying to complete over 300 homes for the Irish people in 2025. But there was a rumor that these houses were supposed to go for rent or sale. Taking to X, the former UFC double champion addressed the lies and wrote, “People need to wake up to the systematic attack that has been going on against me for many years. All of the homes I have built have been social housing to aid in Ireland’s housing crisis which I am very passionate about helping.”
McGregor has first-hand witnessed how it feels to be without a home and forced to sleep on the ground. He promised that the profit he would make out of the housing plan was nigh on zero. He was even advised against such projects, but his love for the Irish people pushed him forward. ‘The Notorious’ continued, “But the feeling of knowing that I will have helped a family currently homeless or in hostels get their family home is priceless! I’ve been doing this years! I built homes and got them built in time in time for Christmas where families with children who had been without a home got housed in their forever home just in time for Christmas. That’s magical!”

And this showed a different side to Conor McGregor. Even though there were many who twisted his words, he was certain that it wasn’t going to work. After all, he was all out to give his last breath for his country. And that was a cause worthy enough to stand up and support the former champ-champ. He went on, “Vote McGregor and I am telling you, Ireland’s housing crisis, homeless crisis, illegal immigration crisis, corruption practices and lack of accountability of those inside the Oireachtas will all be corrected! I promise massive success rates! My record is incredibly strong here in these brackets.” But he did need the support of the public to rise to the power of the Irish president and make more significant changes in people’s lives.
This year, in 2025, I will have completed over 300 homes built toward social housing in Ireland. All my own money. There was a lie being spread against me (nothing new there) that these houses were for rent to buy. It spread feverishly and people eat it up and attempt to attack…

As soon as ‘Mystic Mac’ shared the post on X and asked the public to rally behind him and vote for him in the upcoming presidential elections, the netizens swooped down to the comments section and revealed their thoughts.
