Charles Oliveira has put Conor McGregor on notice with a stunning confession ahead of his UFC 300 fight. The Brazilian will be taking on Arman Tsarukyan at the event in a highly anticipated fight on the already stacked card. It’s also interesting to note that both Tsarukyan and Oliveira faced the same opponent in their last fight, Beneil Dariush. ‘Do Bronx’ finished Dariush in the first round of their clash at UFC 289 while Tsarukyan did the same in December 2023 at UFC on ESPN: Dariush vs Tsarukyan.
But with reports suggesting that ‘The Notorious’ may be returning to the UFC soon, Oliveira recently revealed his thoughts on the potential clash between them. And while fans may be thrilled at the prospect of seeing ‘Do Bronx’ take on the Irishman, Oliveira seems to think that McGregor may not be as keen on stepping into the Octagon against him!

In a recent conversation with MMA Fighting, Charles Oliveira’s coach, Diego Lima, revealed that Conor McGregor had personally reached out to the Brazilian for a fight in 2022. He stated, “Before Makhachev, McGregor texted Oliveira telling him to wait, not to fight…”
And now, with news of McGregor’s impending return causing a frenzy in the UFC world, Oliveira was asked in an interview with ESPN, “Do you think we’ll be talking about Charles Oliveira and McGregor in the second half of the year?”
To which ‘Do Bronx’ responded by bluntly stating through an interpreter, “He knows he doesn’t want this fight.” The remarks are interesting, as in his recent conversation with MMA Fighting, Oliveira had confessed that he would choose to fight Conor McGregor because of the massive financial benefits of a fight against the Irish superstar.
However, in the same interview, he further went on to reveal, “Sometimes he posts something about me and then deletes it. So there’s a spark. But he’s no fool. He will never take this fight.”
Oliveira’s assessment adds a layer of complexity to the potential matchup, hinting at underlying reasons for McGregor’s reluctance to step into the Octagon against him. As the MMA world buzzes with speculation about McGregor’s return, Oliveira’s remarks offer a tantalizing glimpse into the dynamics between the two fighters.
Whether McGregor will ultimately accept the challenge remains uncertain, but ‘Do Bronx’s opponent at UFC 300 has now laid out a stunning prediction for their fight!
Oliveira put on notice by his opponent for UFC 300
Arman Tsarukyan has made a bold prediction about his fight at UFC 300 against Charles Oliveira. The bout between the two men is especially important as it’ll determine the landscape of the UFC’s lightweight division with both fighters having a history with champion, Islam Makhachev.

Speaking on a recent appearance on The MMA Hour, Tsarukyan proclaimed, “We are both complete MMA fighters. But my prediction is a finish in the first round, TKO.”
He also revealed that despite Oliveira’s credentials, Tsarukyan views the bout as his pathway to redemption and a rematch with current lightweight champion Islam Makhachev. The two had faced off in 2019 where Makhachev secured a unanimous decision victory in a fight that was Tsarukyan’s debut in the UFC. As such, Tsarukyan stated, “This fight, Dana White said, this is a contender fight. The winner is going to fight Islam, me or Oliveira is going to fight with Islam. Definitely.”
