Conor McGregor is in a race against time as per USADA. The much-anticipated return of the UFC star could be in jeopardy if the latest news is to be believed. USADA is a crucial component of the UFC’s rigorous anti-doping program, ensuring fair and clean competition within the sport. All fighters who participate in UFC events are required to comply with the agency’s testing protocols.
Dana White along with the fans hoped to see the return of the superstar Irishman in the UFC in 2023. However, they may be in for a shock as he has only time till 16th June 2023 to enter the pool.

The clock is ticking for Conor McGregor as he has only 48 hours remaining to enter the USADA testing pool. ‘The Notorious’ intends to step into the octagon at UFC 296, which is slated to be the ultimate Pay-Per-View event of the year.
According to a tweet by Verdict, “Conor McGregor has 48 hours left to enter the USADA testing pool if he’s going to fight at UFC 296 which is the final PPV of the year.”

Furthermore, according to the regulations enforced by the USADA, McGregor must fulfill all the prerequisites. The prerequisite of entering the six-month testing pool by Friday, failing which he will be ineligible to compete in 2023.
For McGregor, this is a crucial deadline that determines his involvement in the anticipated UFC 296 event. Given his stature, his return would be highly anticipated by UFC President and the fans alike. Moreover, White also celebrates 30-year anniversary of the UFC which would be made more special if McGregor was to be involved.

Chael Sonnen cast doubts over Conor McGregor’s return weeks ago
The former UFC middleweight has been vocal about the return of Conor McGregor. The UFC legend has presented various theories on the issue.
Sonnen said on his podcast, “You would think that they’re going to fight. It would seem that they’re going to fight. You ask Conor and Chandler what the weight class of their fight is, they don’t say the same number. Nobody has a venue, nobody has it on sale, nobody has tickets. There’s no poster that’s coming out”.
