While Jon Jones‘s talks engulfed the MMA community over the last week, there was another side quest UFC was busily coordinating. The promotion and UFC president Dana White simultaneously organized the shooting of the Hollywood project, Road House, during UFC 285. The remake of the 80s cult classic movie starring Patrick Swayz is rightly popular in the MMA community as the story revolves around an ex-UFC fighter. To realize the authenticity of the project, the team appropriated the UFC facilities and also the event proceedings. Therefore, the lead actor Jake Gyllenhaal extended his gratitude to the UFC. The c0-star of the project, Conor McGregor, followed the same.
Notably, the Hollywood actor, who plays the role of Elwood Dalton, gave the UFC fans some memorable moments over the weekend. While ‘The Notorious’ gate crashed the weigh-ins, the 42-year-old shocked the fans with his shredded physique. However, the same raised some hilarious doubts in the mind of the UFC head honcho. Further, he also picked a highlight reel flying knee knockout of former UFC fighter Jay Hieron who plays his adversary, Jack Harris in the film. However, there was plenty more on the offering, as revealed by Gyllenhaal.

The Los Angeles native took to Instagram as he posted a video that offered snippets into the eventful weekend. Thus, he captioned, “Thank you to the @ufc, all the fighters and the incredible fans for letting us play this weekend. You are all the best…SO much more to come! @roadhousemovie”
Following this, ‘Mystic Mac’ issued a one-word response. He commented, “Huge!!”
Acknowledging the sentiments of his co-star, the ‘Wildfire’ lead replied with a raising hands emoji.

The Irishman and Gyllenhaal also appeared together in the stands as the duo enjoyed the exciting fight card. Besides, the sold-out T-Mobile Arena was also used to shoot a walkout scene for Gyllenhaal.
All this was possible, as the producer Joel Silver shared good dynamics with the UFC lynchpin. The upcoming Amazon Studios project is directed by Doug Liman, and the screenplay is penned by Anthony Bagarozzi, Chuck Mondry, and Sheldon Turner. The other stars joining the project are Daniela Melchior and Billy Magnussen.
