The saga of the return of Conor McGregor continues. The comeback of The Irishman has kept everyone on their toes, and the flares reached their zenith when he posted a leaked Fight Night event screenshot. Nobody knew the credibility of the snap. But UFC President Dana White was quick to dismiss that leaked image as fake and AI-generated. If there were any apt time to air some conspiracy theories, this is the perfect time, as McGregor’s latest post suggests there is more to the story.
With the conclusion of TUF S31, everyone is waiting for the announcement of the fight between ‘Mystic Mac’ and Michael Chandler. While his USADA woes continue to act as his biggest roadblock, the Irish fighter took matters into his own hands. He had posted an image suggesting the fight would headline UFC 296 in December. However, it appears ‘The Notorious’ is ready to play along.

As admitted by the former ‘champ-champ’ in one of his recent posts on X, his problems with USADA are the hurdles impeding his comeback. Moreover, he also pleaded with Endeavor CEO Ari Emanuel to help him out with the USADA.
He has a three-fight future plan set, including the likes of Justin Gaethje and Nate Diaz. But only an exemption from USADA’s mandatory six-month testing pool can make his return possible this year. Despite the example of Brock Lesnar in the past, his way appears more complicated as the time runs out for his UFC 296 timeline.
