Conor McGregor is back in action, causing a stir amongst UFC fans worldwide. Keeping himself busy, he is shooting the 31st season of TUF against Michael Chandler, his comeback opponent this year. However, the Irishman recently gatecrashed the ceremonial weigh-ins for Jon Jones‘ UFC title fight to promote his upcoming movie, Road House, with his Oscar-nominee co-star, Jake Gyllenhaal. The fans were ecstatic to see him in this setting after such a long time. Although one thing that stood out from this appearance was the Irishman’s warm hug with UFC commentator Joe Rogan. This was unexpected, given how Rogan and McGregor had gone back and forth on the steroids aspect in the past.
Soon after Jones and Ciryl Gane faced off for the last time ahead of their highly anticipated heavyweight bout this weekend, the Irishman took to the stage with a mic in hand. McGregor even shot a scene for the movie in front of a live audience, leaving everyone in awe. He embraced ‘Bones’, Dana White, and other UFC officials, including Joe Rogan, which was a surprise in itself.

Rogan made a snide remark on McGregor‘s alleged steroid use. This didn’t sit well with the Irishman, who hit back at the UFC commentator. It seemed unlikely that the two would ever be on good terms again. However, seeing the two greet each other with warmth was an unexpected yet pleasant sight, proving that it’s never too late to bury the hatchet.

Despite the remarks he made, the 55-year-old still stated that he could see Conor McGregor making it to the top of the UFC.
In his episode with Derek from ‘More Plates More Dates’, Rogan revealed how he can clearly see the former double-division champ making a smashing comeback. “He could, he certainly could. The reason why Floyd Mayweather was elite even at the top of his game, I don’t think you ever forget where you came from.”

However, he still placed one critical doubt on that. Rogan said, “The real question for me with Conor is what’s going on with his leg? His leg snapped in half, and no one. I mean, no one in combat sports has had their leg snapped in half and come back and been the same or better.”

Hence, what Joe Rogan stated about Conor McGregor is essentially the question that’s been on many UFC fans’ minds. But ‘The Notorious’ is as confident as ever about putting on a show against ‘Iron’ and taking him down with stupendous fashion. Only time will tell how McGregor’s comeback will fare in the world of the UFC.
